Kids were way too excited to explore DC and eat a hot sit down meal. So we used this opportunity to explore Georgetown – supposedly a very expensive suburb of Washington DC. We dumped our bags in our hotel room and took a Lyft.
First we stopped by the “Old Stone House” which is said to be the oldest building in this area. We couldn’t go inside, but even the outside was quiet unique. Then we walked to various parts of Georgetown and enjoyed the architecture of these old homes. Kid #1 was fascinated by the culture and architecture.

As we walked from Tudor Gardens to the Waterfront we stopped by “Insomnia Cookies”. I dont have a sweet tooth but kids loved it. The walk along Wisconsin Ave was great with tons of cool sights and architecture along the way.

The Georgetown Waterfront Park was alot of fun. Some live music, water fountain and alot of flowers. Kid #1 was happy clicking flowers while Kid #2 was happy playing in water. 🙂

Then came time for dinner…. The Berliner was the unanimous choice – beer & brats – no brainer. Plus I wanted to see the wall mural with Kennedy’s famous quote “Ich bin ein Berliner”. The restaurant was great with great ambiance and good food. Since I was with kids the hostess got us a table away from all the drinking crowd, and kids loved the locale.
